Philosphy/Objective
Hilltop schools inc. Is a women-led Liberian NGO that provides education, health, and protection to children in Liberia. We currently operates the More Than Me Academy(an all-girls school) and the Zoe Robison Academy(dual gender school), both of which are low-income schools for students coming from vulnerable and low-income backgrounds. Our girls’ academy, located in central Monrovia, serves girls mostly from west point, a large, urban slum community while our dual gender academy is located in Sophie community Congo Town and serves students from slum communities and vulnerable households.
History
All of the girls who attends the academy are selected based on vulnerability and need, usually coming from single or no parent households, and who would not be able to attend school otherwise. Over 400 girls ages 4 to 20 attend our holistic, Low-Income academy, from kindergarten to 12th grade. Hilltop also runs a special scholarship program for its alumni who have consistently maintained top grades by financing their career paths into higher institutions (universities and technical schools) in Liberia.
Our Classes are scheduled to meet the comfort of our Instructors and our students
Our Institution is legally recognized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Liberia.
Our students have performed well in Public Examinations and Local Exams.
Executive Director Welcome Statement:

Sylvestine Gbessagee -Executive Director
Dear Parents, Guardians, Beloved Students, and Hard-Working Teachers,
It is with immense joy and pride that I welcome each of you to this new chapter in our journey of empowering young minds from our slum communities and vulnerable households. Today, I am thrilled to share exciting news that marks a significant leap forward in our commitment to providing quality education: the launch of our new school management system, powered by Smart School System. This upgrade is more than just a technological shift—it is a testament to our belief that every child, regardless of their background, deserves access to tools that enhance learning and connection. In a world where artificial intelligence is revolutionizing productivity, we are ensuring that Hilltop Schools keeps pace, equipping both our teachers, students and parents with a digital platform designed to make education more transparent, accessible, and effective.
This new system will serve as your primary access point to stay closely connected with your child’s academic journey. Through the school portal, you will easily track their daily attendance, monitor their progress across subjects, and retrieve their grade records in real time—no more waiting for quarterly reports or playing catch-up with updates. Additionally, the portal will provide direct contact information for your child’s classroom teachers and their assigned social worker, making it simpler than ever to address concerns, ask questions, or collaborate on supporting your child’s growth. I urge each of you to embrace this tool wholeheartedly: your active engagement through the portal will not only strengthen the bond between home and school but will also play a vital role in enhancing your child’s academic outcomes. Together, with this new system as our bridge, we can ensure every student at Hilltop Schools thrives.
